A cookie is a small amount of data created in a computer when a person visits a website on the computer. It often includes an anonymous unique identifier. A cookie can be used to identify a computer. It is not used to collect any personal data. In other words, it does not have the function of identifying an individual user of the website.

Besides, personal data provided by the participants during the registration and website statistics (including the number of visits and the users’ preference on the website) would be solely used for the Cyber Security Competition and receiving crime prevention messages in future.

The personal data provided will be used for Cyber Security Competition 2020/21 and any directly related purpose.  The organizer may also contact relevant participants regarding the personal data provided during the event. Your provision of personal data is voluntary for the purpose of competition. If the participant fails to provide the organizer with the required personal data, the organizer may not be able to process the application. The organizer may also publish the names, photos, videos and competition results on web pages, newspapers, social networking sites and other media for publicity purpose.

I agree Police Force to use of my personal data, including name, contact number and email address in receive the crime prevention information.

I understand that I may choose to stop receiving or hearing from the organizer or update my personal data by providing my name, contact number and email address to the organizer (enquiry@hkcybersecuritycompetition.net).
