1. Participants will be contacted or notified by email (for providing information including invitations to competition events and entry’s submission method), therefore a regularly used email should be provided and checked by the participants;

  2. Participants who submit their entries online will receive a confirmation email to acknowledge the receipt of the entry (in or before August 2021);

  3. Participants who fail to submit their entries by the deadline will be automatically disqualified from the Competition and not be entitled to a certificate of participation;

  4. Entries should be based on the research that began in or after May 2019, i.e. within two years before the closing of application of the Competition;

  5. Each entry must be submitted with a unique Entry Number that specified in the confirmation email from the JPC (except group application and submission of entries, i.e. collected by and submitted via schools or organizations);

  6. If there is inadequate space for writing in Annexes A, B or C, participants may continue to fill in their reports in additional A4 papers;

  7. Each entry must be packed separately, with an entry label on both the entry and the wrapping indicating the Entry Number, the name of the entry, and the name of the participant as shown below.  The Entry Number will be sent out by JPC via confirmation emails.

  8. JPC shall not be responsible for any postal damage to the entry;

  9. Participants should consider in-person submission of entries which are structurally complex or fragile at JPC Section, 123 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong;

  10. Subsequent to a review of the reports and videos uploaded, individuals or teams (from Senior Primary School Category, Junior Secondary School Category and Senior Secondary School Category) may be invited to attend adjudication meetings with their entries, in which they will present their ideas to the judges.  Participants should check the competition website and email inbox regularly for updates;

  11. Participants are advised to keep an electronic copy of the materials submitted, which will not be returned after the conclusion of the Competition;

  12. Participants are required to provide complete and accurate personal details, including their JPC Membership No. if any.  The JPC has the right to disqualify any participant for supplying false or erroneous information;

  13. The JPC owns the copyright of all entries, which may be used in part or in full on any occasion including but not limited to internal circulation, public display, publication and/or other purposes;

  14. The JPC has the right to reject or disqualify any entry that is irrelevant to the theme and objective of the Competition;

  15. The JPC reserves the right to amend the rules and other details of the Competition and will provide relevant updates on the dedicated website of the Competition and other JPC social media platforms from time to time;

  16. Should there be any dispute, the JPC will have the final authority to interpret the rules and make the final decision on the outcome of the Competition;

  17. The JPC shall not be responsible for any dispute related to intellectual property rights arising from the entries submitted; and
